Unity of Hollywood Mission:

Unity Church of Hollywood is a growing spiritual center of positive people who are supporting one another in living an abundant life. We hold a vision of people joined together in God, peacefully living, loving and prospering on a healthy planet. We are a church family who inspires love and acceptance, demonstrates a true connection with God, practices Truth principles in our lives, and serves our community and the world.

Unity is a positive, practical, progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. The Bible is our text for living a God inspired life. We believe that God is Spirit, the loving source of all that is. God is the one power, all good, everywhere present, all wisdom. God is divine energy, continually creating, expressing and sustaining all creation. In God, we live and move and have our being. In Unity, some other ways we speak of God are Life, Light, Love, Substance, Principle, Law, and Universal Mind. Ultimately, God is more than any words can ever describe.

We believe in the divinity of Jesus and that the spirit of God lived in Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God, as the Christ in expression. We believe that Jesus Christ expressed His Divine potential and He lived to show us how to express ours as well. We see Jesus as a master teacher of universal truths and as our Way-Shower. We believe that Jesus' crucifixion on Calvary was a final step in a work that had been going on in Him for thirty-three years, and when He arose He was entirely free from all physical limitations. He had overcome all the carnal tendencies which He had taken on that He might free the human race from its bondage. We celebrate Easter as the celebration of the true resurrection of Jesus. Its inner meaning and spiritual significance is the awakening and raising to spiritual consciousness of the I AM, which had been dead in trespass and sin and buried in the tomb of materiality.

As children of God, we are each individual, eternal expressions of God. Thus, we are joint heirs with Christ. Our essential nature is divine and our purpose is to express our divine potential as realized and demonstrated by Jesus and other master teachers. The more we awaken to our Divine nature, the more fully God expresses in and through our lives.

Parking Information:  Parking is available on only half the parking lot across the street.  
The owners tow cars that park on the eastern four rows in the parking lot across the street.  
There is ample additional overflow parking at:

• the Hollywood City Lot on Van Buren 2 blocks east of the church;

• the northern half of the Office Depot lot 2 blocks north of the church 
  (please don't park in front of the businesses);

• the school across the street from the church offices on the corner of Van Buren,

• the doctor's office on Van Buren 2 blocks east of the church;

We give thanks to the eye doctors and Office Depot on Hollywood Blvd and we encourage the church to support these businesses.  We also give thanks to the City of Hollywood and hold the city and these businesses and their employees in our prayers and our hearts always.  Please send them a special blessing each time you park in any of these locations.
